New Visitor's Center

Visitors to the Daybreak Community are greeted by a 3,000 sf signature building which establishes design quality and reinforces Kennecott’s commitment to sustainable design principles. The Visitor’s Center was designed using LEED® principles and features renewable construction materials, low water use fixtures, and energy efficient lighting in the design.

 

The project is sited along a south-facing rim and aligned with Little Cottonwood Canyon to the east, and Kennecott Mine to the west to optimize daylighting and minimize energy needed for climate control, and it also overlooks the first phase of the Daybreak Community which it anchors.
