New Operating Room Wing Addition

This Project is and Addition and Remodel to the Existing Gunnison Valley Hospital in Gunnison, Utah.

 

The Main Floor Addition added two 650 s.f. Operating Rooms with new scrub area and Sub-Sterile between them. An extra wide (12’) corridor outside the new OR’s allows for some charting spaces. Three Equipment Storage Rooms help to keep equipment out of the new corridor.

New support space includes Men’s and Women’s pass through Locker Rooms/Toilet/Showers. A OR Manager Office and Lounge Room.

 

The Main Floor Addition ties into the existing hospital Sterile Corridor. The remodeled area on the Main Floor up dated the mechanical systems in an existing 600 s.f. Operating Room and changed a 380 s.f. Operating Room to an Endoscopy Room. The existing locker rooms changed to (2) additional Recovery Bays.

 

The Basement Level Addition connects the OR Suite to the new Central Processing Area with a dedicated elevator and stairs. This area has a Decontamination Room with pass through washers. The area has sterilizers, a wrap and pack area, sterile supply storage and small break area and two Sleep Rooms and a Toilet/Shower room.

The Basement Level has a Pre-manufactured (3) Room Clean Room for Chemotherapy Preparation.

The Basement Level Material Management Area was expanded by 850 s.f. and a new covered access ramp was added to the basement.
