Medical Office Remodel

This project included the reconfiguration of existing radiology space to accommodate a new Cath Procedure Lab.  Design West worked closely with the staff to incorporate ample storage and ease of use into the design.  The table location is designed on an angle for ease of viewing procedures.  

 

This lab also has state of the art equipment that requires no x-rays or radioactive scans, which is important in PCMC's young patients.

Some challenges included the Cath Lab's location above an existing parking garage and adjacent to operational radiology space.  Extra coordination was required to ensure construction would not interfere with patient procedures or normal operation of the department.  The design also included additional structural steel placed in the ceiling to anchor the equipment.
