Rock Loft

New Mixed Use Building

The Rock Loft is a landmark building  in Fruit Heights, Utah. The building was originally used to sort and fresh pack cherries.The upper floor of building was used as a supper club that featured dining and dancing.  Fruit heights city used the building to house their city offices for 15 years beginning in 1978. The building has most recently been used as a retail building housing a boutique home decor and gift shop, framing gallery and small restaurant. 

 

The site was upgraded with a new paved parking area and complete redesign of the landscape. A new covered patio was added with a gas fire place to serve as a secluded outdoor space for the building tenants. New entry covers were added as well as  exterior elements, such as metal window awnings, decorative metal plates and new railing system will tie the exterior elements of the building together. 

The interior of the building was completely demolished.  The existing interior wood and metal elements were sandblasted to bring back a natural finish.  All the electrical and mechanical systems of the building were redesigned and replaced.
