Design West recently completed the latest phase of housing for CMU. The Wingate project had an extremely aggressive design schedule and an equally aggressive construction schedule. Design West mobilized the personnel required to develop a new housing design concept responsive to President Foster’s desire for traditional housing with integral study lofts. The new design incorporated elevated lofts shared by two bedrooms and an exterior design that reflected the traditional design of the previous Garfield phases. After the new design was completed on schedule, Design West joined forces with a capable CM/GC firm to construct the project ahead of schedule. Working together with the CM/GC, Design West was able to realize a successful project in design, construction and budget goals.
